The Pittsburgh Steelers have won the Super Bowl. Final Score? 27 to 23. A little closer than my 31 to 24 prediction in favor of the Steelers. However, the Steelers are still the victors.
The Steelers were down 23 to 20 with 2:40 left in the 4th quarter, a situation they have faced 4 previous times this season. All 4 previous times they were forced to cap a game-winning drive, they delivered, and won the game. This time was no different. The Steelers drove the length of the field to cap a 5th game-winning drive in the 4th quarter this season, ending with a spectacular catch by Santonio Holmes, the game’s MVP, this time earning them the title of World Champions.
I can finally be biased. I was insanely happy that the Steelers won the game. I have been a big Steelers fan for a long time, and was forced to overcome false fanhood from my hometown (Findlay, Ohio) because Ben Roethlisberger graduated from my high school (Findlay High School). My entire town erupted in “Steeler Pride” when Ben went to the Steelers. The Mayor of Findlay dubbed the week leading up to the Super Bowl “Ben Roethlisberger Week” and I was even forced to see such billboards as this:

I frankly couldn’t care less that Ben Roethlisberger graduated from my high school. I have been a Steelers fan for a long time, and to be completely honest, I am a Steelers fan in SPITE of Big Ben.
All things aside, I am glad the Steelers won, and I am hoping for a repeat next year in Super Bowl XIV.
Oh and as a small P.S., my roommate successfully has been dubbed (actually, inadvertently dubbed himself) the nickname Omega. That is all.
